Why do people say rip to chris benoit when he killed his family?

Respect. We don't ultimately know what his beliefs were, what motivated him to do what he has done, or, well, really anything about him. And, while it seems like he may have done these things, I don't know because I wasn't there. But, I do know that he was a professional in the wrestling ring and earned every bit of the respect that he was given up to that point. I'm not here to tell anyone who they should or should not respect. But, I do respect him for the performer that he was, even if I cannot respect what he is said to have done.
