The bible is a story and even then its hard to understand?

All the prophecies we hear about in the bible where are they? I tried to read the bible and couldnt understand a word of it. Surely god would have made it easy reading if he wanted people to convert. I would like an example of the prophecy, regarding the antichrist, where is it in the bible? Also the rebuilding of the jewish temple?
